Since then, the group has expanded and, prior to the pandemic, used to meet weekly to create art, share their knowledge, assist each other, learn new techniques and cement life-long friendships. Now, because of Covid 19, they meet on-line via Zoom technology, but the artists still find beauty and inspiration in both life and art by continuing to support each other.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12140\" style=\"width: 238px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/by-barb-mccullough-scales\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12140\" class=\"wp-image-12140 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/By-Barb-McCullough-Scales-228x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/By-Barb-McCullough-Scales-228x300.jpg 228w, https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/By-Barb-McCullough-Scales.jpg 583w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 228px) 100vw, 228px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-12140\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">By Barb McCullough Scales<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Prior to the pandemic, the Dunany Studio Artists would offer <strong>professional watercolour classes<\/strong> at various times throughout the year, featuring well known visiting masters and artists-teachers, such as Jacques H\u00e9bert, Art Cunanan, Doug Mays, Ren\u00e9e Dion and many others. These teachers were so enamoured with the enthusiasm of the group, their talent and the beautiful, landscape of the Dunany region, that they always asked to return again and again.\u00a0 The group hopes to hold these workshops when safe again in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>original founders<\/strong> of the Dunany Studio Artists (Revilla Sauv\u00e9, Joanne Moore, Ginette Masson, Jackie Shelly, Sandra Laroche and Annabelle Wood), have experienced first-hand the joy of painting \u201cen plein air\u201d (painting outdoor) and over the years have travelled together to France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and many locations in Canada to practice this celebration of painting in nature.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12142\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/activities\/dunany-studio-artists\/by-annabelle-woods\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12142\" class=\"wp-image-12142 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/By-Annabelle-Woods-300x234.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"234\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/By-Annabelle-Woods-300x234.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/By-Annabelle-Woods-768x599.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.dunany.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/By-Annabelle-Woods.jpg 984w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-12142\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">By Annabelle Wood<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Every year, the Dunany Studio Artists would put on an<strong> exhibition of their art<\/strong> at their historic and beloved Dunany Golf and Country Club which celebrates its 100<sup>th<\/sup> birthday in 2022 with the completion of a new, improved and upgraded club house.) Last year\u2019s exhibition, for the first time, went \u201cvirtual\u201d and viewers were be able to browse through new works by all the artists safely, securely and on their own time.
