Earlier this month, Dunany Knitters and Crocheters participated in the Crafted for Courage Project held earlier in Montreal. This Project will aid battered and abused women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Funds raised will be distributed to three Montreal shelters for Women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past winter months the Dunany Ladies contributed 95 squares measuring 50 cm x 50 cm. Some were knitted and some crocheted. Paula Minty also contributed a handmade bag as a gift to the Projet.<\/p>\n\n\n

Each week the Dunany knitters met at our Wentworth Community Centre and then, a few even went to the city each week to help sew the blankets together at the Westmount Recreation Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all, 344 blankets were laid out on the foyer of the Place Ville Marie building and most were sold.<\/p>\n\n\n
