Here are some of the activities available in the area with still more details in the Activities section on this web site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dunany Studio Artists Group<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New members are welcome to come and explore the arts with members of the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artists meet at the Wentworth Community Center (86 Louisa Road) Thursday afternoons, from 1-4 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n

All artists of all mediums are welcome to join us. Bring your supplies and perhaps you may get someone interested in trying out what you do!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

End-of-Summer Vernissage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us at the Dunany Country Club on August 21\u201322, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, for a special vernissage showcasing the culmination of this summer\u2019s creative work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Walking club<\/strong>: Come join the Walk and Talk group, held year round on Saturday & Sunday starting around 10:00 am.  Meeting point will be at the DCC parking lot.<\/p>\n\n\n

Enjoy a relaxing stroll, stimulating conversations, fresh air and the beautiful scenery of Dunany roads and trails.  Please contact Susan Steeves.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also available is the Dunany trail with new sign posts and the Beattie lake trail in Gore for a small fee check the Gore website for info. <\/p>\n\n\n

Knitter\u2019s <\/strong>group are knitting and crocheting many beautiful items on Wednesday afternoons at the Wentworth Community Center (86 Louisa Road).  Contact Diane Glionna<\/a> for information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biking club: <\/strong>The Chippers have started their road rides.  All rides are off road with lunch at the end of each trip. For information, contact Lois Finch<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Exercise, <\/strong>a class to keep you fit two days a week (Monday, Thursday 11-12:00) via Zoom. Contact Mary Churprun <\/a>for information.<\/p>\n\n\n

Glee:<\/strong> If you love to sing, join the Glee Club Mondays 2-4pm (103 Chemin Ross) throughout the year. Contact Cathy Leslie <\/a>for information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CARPET BOWLING:<\/strong> This activity has ended for the season and will restart in September 2025. Contact Nancy Smith<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Book Worms:<\/strong> 3 book boxes are available in the area: one on the corner of Boyd and Dunany, one the corner of Neil and Dunany and one at the old Wentworth town hall.<\/p>\n\n\n

Wentworth residents are entitled to join the Lachute library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DESCI<\/strong>, the equipment sharing group of Dunany lends out equipment free of charge including joint supports, walkers, wheelchairs, bath seats, grab bars and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dunany Country Club<\/strong> is very active again this summer. Don\u2019t miss out on the fun even if you are not a golfer as there is lots to do. See their website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wentworth<\/strong>: The Recreation group offers a Playground with a ship and castle. For other activities such as Yoga check their website.  To stay informed on their activities subscribe to the Wentworth bulletin<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grace Park<\/strong>, in Wentworth, has a playground, dog park and beach by the lake as well as picnic tables and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lake Louise Social Club <\/strong>activities are listed on their website<\/a>: tennis\/pickle ball courts, kayaking, swimming and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gore Township<\/strong> <\/a>has tennis, pickle ball, outdoor gym, Jam sessions, dog park, and walking trails. See their website for information. New activities are put online weekly, sign up for their bulletin .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lachute: <\/strong>A multitude of events and activities can be found on their website<\/a>: swimming, a summer fair, the library, sports galore. This summer, residents of Wentworth will be able to register for the Day Camp organized by the City of Lachute, but will have to pay registration as non-residents. Registration is open from April 15 to May 5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brownsburg-Chatam: <\/strong>another good website for activities<\/a> in the area, bike trails, summer camp, a library,<\/strong> indoor activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morin Heights<\/strong> has a summer package of activities: walking, exercises, yoga, dog park, walking and mountain bike trails. Check out their website<\/a>. Weekly events are also listed on the website: music sessions, art exhibits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, 4Korners <\/a>offers several cultural activities and courses for English speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
