Our 2017 lake results: are they too good to be believed?

The phosphorus results are. They are abnormally low: between 2 and 3 mg/litre. The Quebec Department of Environment recognizes this but has incomplete explanations as to why this is so. They are conducting numerous studies internally and with external organizations…

Dunany

About Dunany

This Web site is sponsored by the Dunany Community Association (DCA), a community based organization, made up of people who reside in proximity to its surrounding lakes: Clear, Boyd, Black and Curran, free of motor boats.

The association’s raison d’être is to protect, maintain and enhance the quality of its environment, notably the quality of the water in its four lakes. The association also supports the development of community spirit by enabling social and cultural activities.

The association was founded in 1963 and is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. It works closely with the two other pillars of Dunany, namely the Dunany Country Club and the Church of St-Paul’s of Dunany.

Dunany is located in Canada's Laurentian Mountains, 10 km north of Lachute, and about an hour away from Montreal, Quebec.
