The 2025 Dunany Artists Exhibition was a Huge Success! View these Exhibits and You will See Why.

Have a look at this crowd! It was like that during the two days of the Exhibition, last August 21 and 22. It was the biggest attendance ever. They came from L’Orignal, Hawkesbury, Sainte-Agathe, Saint-Saveur, Morin Heights and Saint-Adolphe d’Howard plus a lot from Lake Louisa as well as almost everyone in Dunany.

As you can see in the following picture taken a few minutes before the opening of the Exhibition, the Dunany Artists and some friends who joined them are a really happy group who demonstrate that the community spirit in Dunany is thriving.

Participating artists include – Coreen Berry, Maureen Cameron, Lyne Chouinard, Judy Hammond, Marion McGill Hodge, Julie Huguet, Angela Macleod, Ginette Masson, Joanne Moore, Jane Pilon, Caroline Roy, Revilla Sauvé, Barbara McCullough Scales, Nora Valantin and Annabelle Wood.

That a small community like Dunany can produce so much quality art work border on the miracle! Have a look!

This year, the Dunany artists took flight with a new theme: Celebrating the Magical, Beneficial Dragonfly. The dragonfly, nature’s glimmering symbol of transformation, vitality, and harmony is a crucial environmental component.

Known for their long existence (over 300 million years), dragonflies play critical roles as predators for the consumption of hundreds of thousands of insects and are prey for birds, bats, frogs, fish and other creatures such as bears. Their most important ecological role is to help monitor pollution, climate change and other potential threats to land and water ecosystems.

Finally, it seems that the dragonflies got wind of the event. At some point during the Exhibition, a dragonfly flew into the Clubhouse, buzzed around the show before landing on the curtains at the back where Judy Hammond rescued it and let it go outside.

All the artists deserve our admiration. They are the Pride of Dunany.
