The Board of the Dunany Community Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Johanne Vallée as president and Arshad Ahmad as treasurer of our organisation. Both are Clear Lake residents.

These appointments follow the decision of Alex Sandahl to resign from his two positions of president and treasurer following his election to the Council of the Township of Wentworth late last fall.
These appointments have been made under a provision of our By-Laws (Article 9) which stipulates that whenever there shall be a vacancy in any office by resignation or otherwise, the Board of Directors shall have the power to fill such office until the next annual election and such person shall have the duties, rights, and privileges of his predecessor.
Both appointees will stand for election at next summer’s Annual General Meeting.
Johanne joined the DCA Board three years ago and has already made a significant contribution to the community as the person responsible for emergency services and she will keep that file.

Johanne Vallée, as many of you know, is a noted criminologist who has occupied senior positions in Public Safety Departments of both the Quebec and federal governments.
The DCA is honoured to welcome Arshad Ahmad, a man with a distinguished career in the world of higher learning, as Treasurer of the DCA. In 2023, he received the Asia-Pacific Leadership Award, Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Melbourne, Australia. He was professor of Finance at both McGill and Concordia Universities for more than 20 years.
Members of the board wish Alex a very successful career in municipal politics.
